Ready set go!!

In the past month I have created almost 100 pieces of jewelry and presented it at several trunk shows. To say I'm feeling a little burned out is an understatement!  It's time to rest and recharge my creative batteries,  but I still feel the need to make something cool . What to do?  If you're me, you have an endless stash of odds and ends just waiting to be made over. My daughter calls me a well organized hoarder and I fear she is not far off! :-)
This will be a cool shadow box when I am done. Stay tuned ......

Things that hold other things

I have a long standing love affair with things that hold other things. Baskets, shoe boxes , etc. Pretty much all storage containers! 
I also love minature things. So what happens when I combine the two ? I get these teeny  chest of drawers . Matchbox cuties to hold the tiniest of treasures.  ♡

Solace

Yesterday a very dear friend lost his battle with ALS. I  have known Lou and his lovely wife for over 30 years and my heart aches at his passing. He was truly a wonderful person.
As in all things, I turn to my work to find solace , to try and make sense of what is going on around me. I found this wing in my stash and decided to honor Lou by creating a piece of jewelry with it.  I know he is in heaven with his shiny new wings. ♡
