We are in the midst of a very serious drought here in California. This fact was never so evident to me as it was earlier this week when our temperature hit 102 degrees Fahrenheit. My plants were on the verge of frying and I couldn't offer them a drink ..... so tough for a gardener.
But this morning I awoke to a miracle. I heard it even before I was fully awake, it was rain on my window. RAIN in June in California! This just doesn't happen but thank God it did.
I can feel the Earth give a sigh of relief.
